Warmup StickyMat is available in 150W/m² and 200W/m² versions. The 150W/m² system is suitable for primary heating in well-insulated areas when correctly designed and installed, while the 200W/m² version is intended for areas with greater heat loss, such as conservatories. Warmup recommends carrying out a heat-loss calculation where underfloor heating is intended to provide the primary source of heat.
Insulating beneath the heating system can further improve performance by reducing downward heat loss and helping retain heat within the room. Warmup recommends suitable insulation boards as part of an efficient underfloor heating installation.

StickyMat consists of an evenly spaced dual-core heating cable attached to a glass fibre mesh with pressure-sensitive adhesive. The heating cable uses advanced ETFE fluoropolymer insulation, providing a durable construction that can be installed beneath suitable floor finishes.
The adhesive mesh helps keep the mat flat during installation and allows the system to be positioned securely before the floor covering or suitable levelling compound is installed.
The StickyMat system is primarily designed for installation beneath tiles, but it can also be used with other compatible floor coverings where the manufacturer's requirements are followed. When used beneath floor coverings such as vinyl, carpet or timber, Warmup states that the StickyMat should be embedded within 10mm of self-levelling compound before the finished floor is installed. The floor covering manufacturer should always confirm compatibility with electric underfloor heating.
For tiled applications, the heating mat can be incorporated within suitable tile adhesive or an appropriate levelling compound according to the installation requirements.
StickyMat is particularly suited to regularly shaped rooms, where the 500mm-wide mats can be rolled out across the floor in parallel runs. The pressure-sensitive adhesive backing helps secure the mat to the prepared subfloor and keeps the heating cable correctly positioned during installation.
The heating cable must not be cut, shortened, crossed or overlapped. Areas occupied by permanent fixtures and furniture should not be heated, and the heating system should be designed according to the actual heated floor area.
