The Warmup Loose Wire under-tile heating system is particularly well suited to small, irregularly shaped rooms and areas containing permanent fixtures, allowing the heating cable to be positioned around obstacles, corners and fittings. The system can be installed within a layer of flexible tile adhesive beneath tiles or within suitable levelling compound beneath other compatible floor finishes.

Heating Performance
The Warmup Under Tile Heater provides 150W/m² of electric underfloor heating, delivering radiant warmth directly through the tiled floor. Tiles and stone are particularly suitable for underfloor heating because they have high thermal conductivity, allowing heat to transfer efficiently to the floor surface while retaining warmth effectively.
The system can be used as either a primary or secondary heating source, depending on the insulation levels, room characteristics and heat-loss requirements of the installation. Warmup recommends carrying out an appropriate heat-loss calculation where underfloor heating is intended to provide the main source of heating.

Installation
The heating cable can be positioned across the required heated area and manoeuvred around fixed objects and irregular sections of the room. Unlike a pre-spaced heating mat, the Loose Wire system allows the spacing between cable runs to be adjusted to suit the installation, with Warmup specifying a spacing range of 50mm to 100mm.
The heating cable must not be cut or shortened. The correct heater size should therefore be selected according to the net heated floor area. The entire heating element must be fully embedded within suitable flexible tile adhesive or levelling compound, with no sections left exposed.
Following installation, the underfloor heating should not be switched on until the tile adhesive or screed has fully cured. Warmup recommends allowing a minimum of 7 to 10 days before activating the system, subject to the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.

Important Information
All electrical connections, including thermostat installation and wiring, must be completed by a suitably qualified and certified electrician. The heating element must not be cut, shortened, crossed or overlapped during installation. Always follow the Warmup installation instructions and ensure that the chosen tile adhesive, grout and floor finish are suitable for use with electric underfloor heating.
For the best performance, Warmup recommends appropriate insulation beneath electric underfloor heating systems to reduce downward heat loss and improve heat-up times.
